How It Works

4 Steps to a Warm Introduction

1

Post a Need

“I need a warm introduction to a |

Post what you need — a job intro, investor connection, mentor, or research contact. Takes 30 seconds.

2

Someone Offers to Help

I know someone — I can make that introduction

A trusted member of the community reviews your request and offers to connect you with the right person.

3

Introduction Made

The warm introduction happens. Both sides confirm.

No cold emails. No awkward asks. A trusted, verified introduction — confirmed by both parties.

4

Credits Earned

The helper earns credits. Now they can ask for help too.

The giving loop continues. Everyone gives. Everyone receives. That’s the MOF community.

Trust & Safety

Built-In Accountability at Every Step

Every interaction on MOF is verified, tracked, and protected.

Identity Verification

Every account verified before participation begins.

School Affiliation

School badge on every verified student and alumni profile.

Video Vetting Call

Virtual face-to-face vetting call before any introduction is made.

Dual-Blind Ratings

Both parties rate independently — no retaliation, no bias.

Proof of Introduction

Helpers upload evidence the introduction was made.

Credit Escrow

Credits held until the intro is confirmed by both sides.

Credit Economy

How Credits Work

Credits keep the exchange fair and flowing. Everyone gives, everyone receives.

Post a Request

Posting a request costs 4 credits. Credits are held in escrow until the introduction is complete.

Help Someone

Make a warm introduction and earn credits when both parties confirm. The more you help, the more you can ask.

Report Outcomes

After an intro, report what happened next. Both requester and helper earn bonus credits for outcome reports.

Community

Community Guidelines

MOF is built on trust. These guidelines keep the community safe and productive.

  • 1Verify your identity. Every participant must complete identity and school verification before making or receiving introductions.
  • 2Follow through on intros. If you offer to help, make the introduction. If you request help, show up prepared.
  • 3Be respectful and professional. Treat every connection as if your school's reputation is on the line — because it is.
  • 4No spam or low-effort requests. Every request should be specific, genuine, and actionable.
  • 5Report outcomes honestly. Outcome reports help the community learn what works and earn bonus credits.

Team

Built by People Who Get It

MOF was created by students and alumni who experienced firsthand how powerful — and how inaccessible — warm introductions can be. We’re building the platform we wished existed.
